Our project supports refugees in the Lebanese mountainous region of Chouf. Working together with our local partner Amurt, we have made it possible for 920 children to attend state schools. We pay for transport, school fees and uniforms. We also help to maintain and equip the schools.
Some girls and boys cannot attend school, because there is no space or because they are too traumatised. To accommodate these children, we have established a special shelter, where they receive regular school instruction and special psychosocial counselling. Therapists are helping 485 children to overcome the trauma of war.

After the loss of their homes, our support is key in preventing refugees to lose all hope for a better future. Regular school instruction ensures that refugee school students have the opportunity to complete their schooling. Additionally, attending school adds an element of normality to everyday life. The trauma therapy helps to heal their emotional wounds. To continue to provide this aid, we need your support.
